The laboratory of Dr. Huaiying Zhang (Lab Page: https://www.bio.cmu.edu/laboratories/zhang/) in the Department of Biological Sciences at Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) is looking for a postdoctoral researcher. The major focus of the lab is to dissect how phase transition organizes cellular spaces with novel optogenetic tools and other multidisciplinary approaches. This NIH 4D Nucleome (https://www.4dnucleome.org/) funded postdoctoral position specifically aims to elucidate how RNA phase separation contributes to nuclear functions. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who seeks a stimulating interdisciplinary work environment.
A PhD in a STEM field is required at the time of hiring. Candidates with expertise in RNA biology, cell biology, bioimaging, biophysics are welcome to apply.
Apply by email to Dr. Huaiying Zhang (huaiyinz@andrew.cmu.edu) with a CV, a cover letter, and contact information for three references.
