Engineer
IT Manager/IT Officer Full-time
Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree or above in computer science, information engineering, or related disciplines, with at least 8 years’ working experience in information technology including at least 3 years’ experience in staff supervision. They should have substantial experience in full stack application development, Microsoft 365, server consolidation, virtualization, containerization, installation, troubleshooting and administration of network attached storage (NAS) High Availability Cluster.
They should have proficiency in PHP, SQL, JavaScript frameworks, Shell Scripts or other programming languages, and at least 3 years’ experience in application development. They should also have a good command of spoken and written English and Chinese (including Putonghua and Cantonese), and excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. They should be a fast-learner, and able to work well with our dynamic teaching and research teams in a stimulating environment. Those with less experience and/or lower qualifications may be considered for appointment as IT Officer.
The appointee will manage the design, development and maintenance of a new IT project that involve large datasets, and user-generated contents and media. He/She will also oversee the lab systems, applications and databases; enhance existing IT infrastructure; and perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned.
