Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory (CSHL) has an immediate opening for a skilled Research Technician II to join the C. Hammell Lab. Scientists at CSHL work in a vibrant, interactive community, including an NCI-designated cancer center that is one of the top basic science cancer centers in the nation.
The successful candidate will need basic tissue culture skills in addition to excellent management skills. This person will take part in basic presswork for experimental set-ups. This will include making basic solutions and media. In addition, the applicant will also work with individual James Building laboratories for specific scientific tasks and prep work such as basic cell culture, maintenance of stock cell lines and the management of spinner flasks for large preparatory cultures.

Position Requirements
Qualifications: Candidates should have a BS or MS in cell biology, biological science, or a related area, with 1-3 years of basic laboratory experience. Candidates should be highly motivated, adept at problem solving, and have the ability to think independently. Excellent communication skills, computer skills, and the ability to work with a diverse group of people are also important.
