Multiple postdoctoral positions in comparative single-cell functional genomics are available in the Cotney Lab within the Department of Genetics and Genome Sciences and the Institute for Systems Genomics at UConn Health . Our laboratory is applying functional genomics techniques at the single-cell level (ATAC-Seq, RNA-Seq, etc) to identify novel gene regulatory elements and gene expression programs in early mammalian craniofacial and cardiac development. Multiple NIH funded projects seek to understand the genetic basis of developmental disorders of the human face and heart by integrating multiple types of functional genomics data at the single-cell level from mouse and human.
