A full-time post-doctoral fellow position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Birgit Knoechel in the Department of Pediatric Oncology at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute for a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow to join our translational and basic research efforts. Our research focuses on 1) understanding epigenetic dependencies and heterogeneity in pediatric leukemia and how they relate to drug resistance with a particular focus on immunotherapies, 2) investigating epigenetic / transcriptional rewiring in cancer and how they relate to novel immune targets, 3) exploiting these to develop novel therapeutic approaches for translation into clinical care. The fellow will interact and collaborate closely with other laboratory-based scientists and computational biologists across the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and the BROAD Institute, and will be involved in a series of research activities including cellular and molecular cancer biology; cancer epigenetics and immunology.
Dana Farber Cancer Institute brings together world renowned clinicians, innovative researchers and dedicated professionals, allies in the common mission of conquering cancer, and related diseases. Combining extremely talented people with the best technologies in a genuinely positive environment, we provide compassionate and comprehensive care to patients of all ages; we conduct research that advances treatment; we educate tomorrow’s physician/researchers; we reach out to underserved members of our community; and we work with amazing partners, including other Harvard Medical School-affiliated hospitals and the BROAD Institute.
