The Levy Lab at the Harvard Medical School/Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Centre, is seeking a postdoctoral fellow interested in investigating migraine pathophysiology in rodent models. We employ a system approach to study mechanisms of migraine pain triggering, with a current focus on cortical, astroglial, and neuro-immune mechanisms that drive the meningeal sensory system. We employ a variety of techniques, including in vivo single-unit electrophysiology, two-photon imaging, optogenetics, chemogenetic, and behavior in rats and transgenic mice. The applicant should have a PhD or be nearing completion of their doctorate in neuroscience, pharmacology, or physiology. Prior experience with in-vivo two-photon microscopy and/or electrophysiology, as well as Matlab coding skills, is highly desirable. Salary will be commensurate with current NIH/NRSA guidelines. To apply, please send a single PDF including a cover letter outlining your research interests/qualifications/fit, a CV, and contact information for three references to firstname.lastname@example.org.
