A project coordinator position is open to manage the SciNetID (Single Cell Regulatory Networks in Development and Disease), a network coordinated by Eileen Furlong (EMBL), Josephine Bageritz (Heidelberg University), Karsten Rippe (DKFZ) and Julio Saez-Rodriguez (Heidelberg University Hospital).
You will join and support an international and interdisciplinary group of single cell scientists across Heidelberg organizations (Heidelberg University, Heidelberg and Mannheim University Hospitals, DKFZ and EMBL).
The post will be hosted in the group of Julio Saez-Rodriguez at Heidelberg University Hospital.
Your work will consist in coordinating and monitoring all project related activities, which include organisations of meetings and events, cross-organisation multi-omics technology exchange, preparation of reports, budget keeping, management of internal and external communication and general administrative support to the coordinators.
Candidates with an academic degree in life sciences or other relevant discipline (Master, PhD) are encouraged to apply. Some prior experience in scientific project management is highly recommended. Knowledge of single cell omics biology and related technologies is an advantage.
A very good command of English and German, in speaking and writing is required for this position. As you will be working in an international team of scientists, intercultural competence and an inclusive and open mind-set are essential.
