Your responsibilities

The Vicoso group investigates how sex chromosomes evolve over time, and what biological forces are driving their patterns of differentiation. We are looking for a part time Research Technician to help us with various tasks, including:

·       Animal colony maintenance and crosses (mainly in brine shrimp and Drosophila)

·       Basic molecular biology techniques (such as DNA/RNA extractions, PCR, etc.)

·       Supporting the experiments of other lab members where needed

Your profile

·       B.Sc. (or equivalent) in biology or a related field

·       Practical experience in at least one of the above mentioned techniques is advantageous

·       Highly organized personality willing to tackle new and challenging experimental projects

·       Very good command of English (working language)

·       Flexibility to suit experimental needs
