The Leung lab at Johns Hopkins is hiring a full-time laboratory manager starting in January–March 2022, with funding currently budgeted till early 2025. The successful candidate will help establish a novel, first-in-class drug discovery and development program. The Manager will work with a multidisciplinary team of seasoned drug developers in a collaborative, milestone-driven Industry–Academia setting. Specifically, the candidate will work closely at the Johns Hopkins University with two virologists and one biochemist to develop antivirals against coronaviruses.
The Manager will be responsible for scientific and administrative activities. S/he will participate in laboratory research, using biochemical, molecular genetics and cell biology approaches, to optimize and execute high-throughput assays as well as assist in the discovery of the mechanisms of action behind the drug target. S/he will manage operation, budget, equipment and compliance in the lab and assist Dr. Leung in reporting and communications.
