A post-doctoral position is available in the Laboratory of Malaria and Vector Research at NIH/NIAID. We study mosquito ecology, behavior, physiology, and population genetics in relation to disease transmission and control. Recent work of the group has focused on migratory behavior and dry season ecology. We are looking for a highly motivated, independently-thinking individual, who wants to conduct field and/or laboratory studies on mosquitoes. A Ph.D. in ecology, entomology, or related field, and at least two first-author publications are required. Experience in field studies, molecular biology, parasitology/virology, and statistical analysis are desirable. No more than 5 years since completion of Ph.D. degree. The position may be extended for up to five years based on satisfactory progress.
