Research Assistant in imaging/biophysics
The Lionnet lab is looking for a research assistant to work on exciting problems in epigenetic regulation. Our lab combines cutting edge live-cell single-molecule imaging with quantitative biophysical modeling and approaches borrowed from genomics and synthetic biology in order to address long-standing questions in gene expression regulation (https://www.timotheelionnet.net/).
The lab is located within the Institute for Systems Genetics (ISG, https://med.nyu.edu/departments-institutes/systems-genetics/) in the NYU Grossman School of Medicine campus, together with a large number of clinical and fundamental research groups.
In this position, you will collaborate with lab members and/or work independently on projects within the lab mission. Projects usually leverage technology development to address specific biological questions and cover a wide range of skills: from molecular biology and cell engineering to quantitative imaging, image analysis, and computational modeling. This cross-disciplinary environment offers unique growth opportunities. While a background in biology is a plus, we welcome candidates from physics, engineering, or computer science with the interest and motivation to learn a new field.
Interested applicants should send a CV and the contact information of references to email@example.com
