The Sen laboratory investigates the regulation of T cell dysfunction in cancer and chronic infection and explores epigenetic approaches for T cell engineering. We seek a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Research Technician at MGH Cancer Center. This role will work closely with senior investigators, and requires the ability to communicate effectively, work well in a team setting, and a strong desire to learn new methods. Your work will be central to several major research projects, and co-authorship on high-impact publications is strongly supported.
Our research lies at the interface of human immunology, systems biology, and functional epigenomics – merging clinical observations with mechanistic mouse studies to develop novel therapeutic strategies. Your work on our ongoing projects will involve developing new epigenome-targeting strategies to reprogram dysfunctional T cell responses. This position is ideal for an exceptionally driven candidate interested in further developing their skills in tumor immunology, genome engineering, screening assay development and/or systems biology. This is a unique opportunity for scientific growth in a highly collaborative and dynamic environment, and you will gain outstanding experience for a future career in science, medicine or biotechnology.
The ideal candidate is expected to independently carry out the daily activities of the laboratory with limited supervision. You must be willing and able to work flexible shifts (evening/weekend/holiday), and be ready to participate in internal meetings to share results and plan experiments.
Duties include but are not restricted to:
Applications should include a cover letter with research interests and a resume/CV, addressed to Dr. Debattama Sen (email@example.com). This posting will remain open until position is filled. Applicants are encouraged to apply early. Further information is available at https://senlab.mgh.harvard.edu/.
We welcome and encourage our lab members’ diversity in age, ethnicity, race, gender identity or expression, ability, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, familial or marital status, mother language, national origin, political affiliation, religious beliefs, veteran status, and other characteristics that enrich our science and perspectives.
