This is an exciting opportunity to tackle the fundamental question of how cells form autophagosomes during autophagy. The project will entail the reconstitution of mammalian selective autophagy using purified components as well as cell biological approaches. For an overview of previous projects of the Martens lab, please refer to our website (www.martenslab.org).
Candidates with a strong background in biochemistry, membrane biology, and/or imaging techniques are particularly encouraged to apply.
