Dr. Lei Pan’s research group at Michigan Technological University invites applications for a postdoctoral associate position. This position is associated with two projects funded by the American Chemistry Society and National Science Foundation (PMP-1920013). Our projects feature close collaboration with modelling and experimental groups from other departments and universities.
Responsibilities include writing proposals, creating manuscripts for publication in peer-reviewed journals, presenting research results at conferences, supervising graduate and undergraduate research, creating Standard Operating Procedures, and adhering to applicable safety protocols.
The successful candidate will conduct collaborative research in the area of interfacial wettability and surface force measurements using multiwavelength interferometry technique developed in this lab. The successful candidate will use and further develop the experimental techniques for understanding the interfacial wettability associated with the water flooding process as well as surface cleaning by bubbles.
