We are seeking a creative and enthusiastic PhD student to characterize the role of the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) unfolded protein response (UPR) in the development of age-related macular degeneration (AMD). The candidate will work with an integrated multidisciplinary team with different scientific fields including cell biology, advanced imaging (single-molecule tracking), theoretical modelling, and clinical research.
The PhD position comes with a PhD scholarship which covers tuition fees and cost of living. The PhD candidate will get further education and training, heath coverage, and possible student accommodation on campus.
The work will be conducted within the School of Biological Sciences, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (www.thibaultlab.com).
