Research Fellow in the laboratory of Associate Professor Luo Dahai
We are recruiting a Research Fellow to study the molecular basis of viral infection and replication and host defense mechanisms. Salary and benefits are commensurable to the educational qualifications and working experience of the candidates. The contract is renewable annually.
The Luo lab in the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine at Nanyang Technological University (https://dr.ntu.edu.sg/cris/rp/rp00464 ) is looking for a highly motivated, goal-driven, and team-oriented postdoctoral scientist to join our collaborative team. Research in the lab is focused on understanding fundamental mechanisms of RNA virus replication and host immune response using interdisciplinary approaches ranging from biochemistry, structural biology, virology and cell biology. NTU Institute of Structural Biology (https://www.ntu.edu.sg/nisb) provides an excellent infrastructure for high-resolution cryo-EM/ET, X-ray crystallography, NMR and other biophysical equipment.
Job responsibilities
· Lead the research projects.
· Work with lab members to maintain laboratory in clean, safe, and productive state.
· Menter junior lab members and students.
Skills & Qualifications
Interested candidates should have recently finished or will soon complete their PhD degrees and have good research experience and track record in Cryo-EM/Crystallography. Experience with protein expression and purification, virology, cell biology or membrane protein biochemistry is a plus.
