Research Operations Manager Full-time

The Biotechnology Teaching Program provides laboratory instruction to undergraduate and graduate students to facilitate learning technical skills required in a research environment.
The Research Operations Manager is responsible for maintaining classroom laboratory facilities. Such responsibilities include the maintenance and running of analytical equipment, including but not limited to Real-time thermal cyclers, Sea Horse, spectrophotometer, fluorescent imaging microscopes, microplate readers, liquid handlers, and FPLCs. The incumbent will also function as the facilities and safety representative. Classroom support is required including reagent and materials preparation for courses and program outreach events. The incumbent will need to have working knowledge of biotechnology research materials, equipment, reagents, and mammalian cell culture sterile technique.
Minimum Experience/Education
Bachelor’s degree and two years of general research experience; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Must be highly organized.
Experience working in a research laboratory environment.
Organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work within a diverse team setting.
