New York, New York Research Institute – Global Stem Cell Array Full Time
The New York Stem Cell Foundation (NYSCF) Research Institute is a growing and successful nonprofit whose mission is to accelerate cures through stem cell research.
NYSCF is seeking an Associate Scientist/Scientist to join the NYSCF Global Stem Cell Array TM and Discovery Platform, a robotic system that automates both induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) derivation, gene editing, downstream differentiations, and drug screening. You will be responsible for R&D of novel differentiation processes within the NYSCF Global Stem Cell Array as well as assisting in existing differentiation processes. You will report to a Principal Scientist and work closely with other members of the Array team, including biologists, engineers, IT specialists, project management, and operations.
You are a self-motivated applicant with a strong interest in stem cell research and the creation of cell models for disease research. You have a strong background in human PSC culture, including differentiation protocols and downstream assays. Additionally, experience in molecular cloning is highly desired. Experience with lab automation is considered a plus.
This is a full-time position based on a 35-hour workweek, however, weekend work may be required.
