Research topics
We study pathological molecular mechanisms underlying chronic skin wounds, such as in patients with diabetes, venous insufficiency, and advanced age. Our focus is on extracellular vesicle-mediated cellular communication. We also work on therapeutic approaches in collaboration with bioengineering labs. Our work involves genetic models, molecular, cellular and biochemical analysis.
Duties and Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be involved in routine laboratory activities, with focus on: (1) Cell culture, (2) handling of laboratory models, genotyping and tracking colonies; (3) general lab organization, (4) other experimental settings including flow cytometry and cell sorting, tissue preparation/sectioning/immunofluorescent staining, and standard molecular biology and biochemical techniques such as RNA and DNA extraction and Western Blotting, and (5) data and image analysis.
