Early career bioinformatics positions available!
Positions are to be filled ASAP.
Data Tecnica International (DTi) invites applications for two new positions focused on accelerating open science / open data efforts. These opportunities will focus on working with data generated as part of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), iPSC Neurodegenerative Disease Initiative (iNDI) and CRISPRBrain projects. We facilitate the research portfolios of numerous global initiatives for neurodegenerative disorders including Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias, Parkinsonism, and ALS. These projects center on large-scale multi-modal *-omics data in an open science setting to accelerate the efforts of a community of researchers.
These openings are primarily junior to some early-career level postings. Applicants should have at the minimum an MS degree, or a BS plus 1-5 years relevant work experience/certification in the related field (bioinformatics or similar). Competent coding skills (e.g. Python/R/bash/workflows) are also needed. Experience in working with industry standard tools for whole genome and RNA sequencing is necessary. Single cell sequencing experience is preferable as is some experience with data visualization tools such as streamlit or shiny. The candidates must have valid US work authorizations as DTi cannot sponsor employment visas.
These positions may also include opportunities to grow your data science analytics skills and publish research in collaboration with NIH initiatives we support. Given the current situation, we are offering a complete work-from-home option for the immediate future (likely revisiting the hybrid workplace in early 2022).
Interested candidates should submit their application, including CV, cover letter, and letters of recommendation (if available) to firstname.lastname@example.org. Review of applications will begin immediately. All salaries and benefits are negotiable and in line with current glassdoor estimates, commensurate with experience.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
