Postdoctoral Researcher position is available at the University of Chicago and Nanoscience and Technology Division (NST) at Argonne National Laboratory, with a focus on infrared photonics and microcavities.
The successful candidate will be highly motivated and have strong track records. He/she will be responsible for designing, fabricating and characterizing photonic structures and cavities targeted for the infrared wavelength ranges. The postdoctoral candidate will also utilize state-of-the-art facilities to investigate light-matter interactions based on the developed photonic structures. The selected candidate will have access to world-class research facilities and gain in-depth knowledge of the research frontiers in the fields of infrared photonics and quantum mechanics. The candidate will also have the opportunity to be a part of a world-class scientific team and involved in vigorous research programs.
The candidate should have completed doctorate level degrees within the last three years or soon to be completed in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, or a related discipline. Previous experience in at least one the following areas is highly desired:
