The Center for Retrovirus Research and The Infectious Disease Institute at The Ohio State University is seeking Post Doctoral Researchers and PhD students for a new project related to COVID-19 and its associated SARS-CoV-2. The project is particularly focused on host antibody response to SARS-CoV-2 infection. This position is available for one year, with possible renewal beyond depending on funding and performance. The researcher will join an active and productive research lab with a primary focus in virus-host interaction, membrane fusion and entry of enveloped RNA viruses as well as host innate immunity to viral infection. The lab has a strong interest in retroviruses including HIV, influenza A virus, Zika virus, Ebola virus, and innate sensing to RNA viruses. Highly motivated individuals with a strong background in virology, cell biology, and innate immunity are encouraged to apply. The lab is especially seeking candidates who have skills and experience in immunology, cell biology, viral entry, and pathogenesis. Recently graduated PhD candidates are encouraged to apply.
