The Life Science Business Unit within Thermo Fisher MSD provides high-value workflow solutions for biological 3D imaging, ranging from atomic resolution imaging of protein complexes to volume acquisition of cellular compartment structures. Protein 3D structure determination using Cryo-Electron Microscopy Single Particle Analysis (Cryo-EM SPA) is a rapidly growing field, as it pushes the boundaries in the understanding of disease mechanisms and life itself. Recently, Cryo-EM SPA has made its’ entry into pharmaceutical R&D labs where it’s used to structurally enable drug discovery projects.
To support the growth of electron microscopy, the Life Sciences Business Unit is looking to add a Product Marketing Manager (PMM) responsible for the software solutions offered with our microscopy tools, which include Athena and EPU. The Software PMM will gather market requirements to define software solutions that support the segment growth strategy, will have these solutions developed, and will develop launch plans to introduce new software solutions to the market. The individual will be a major contributor in defining our business strategy and product roadmap for Cryo-EM software solutions.
The ideal candidate for this position will have a proven track record of developing go-to-market strategies for scientific software solutions and experience working with both internal and external stakeholders to develop a business strategy and product roadmap. This role is also ideal for candidates with intimate knowledge of the current landscape of available software solutions (e.g. RELION, Leginon, CryoSPARC, SerialEM) and their use in the Cryo-EM workflow.
