NIH-funded postdoctoral or research scientist positions are immediately available at the Institute for Pediatric Regenerative Medicine and the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Medicine, School of Medicine, University of California at Davis, to study the mechanism and prevention of several common and severe structural birth defects, such as neural tube defects and orofacial clefts in genetically modified mutant mouse models. We currently focus on Wnt signaling and chromatin modification.
The institute provides an excellent research environment. Salaries are at the latest NIH and UC scale based on experience, plus fringe benefits/health insurance. Our projects employ various practical research approaches, including conditional gene targeting, mouse embryo culture, wholemount in situ hybridization, real-time PCR, immunoblot, chromatin immunoprecipitation, promoter luciferase assay, live imaging, single cell RNA-seq, ATAC-seq, ChIP-seq, and related bioinformatic analyses. Self-motivated candidates who hold a PhD or equivalent degree in an appropriate area and have demonstrated solid publications are particularly welcome to apply.
Applicants may email their CVs (including a brief summary of research experience and technical expertise) and contact information for three references for considerations.
