The Institute for Network Medicine seeks to recruit two candidates with a recent Ph.D. to conduct big bold studies at the intersection between ‘multiomics’, animal models of diseases and organoid-based disease modeling.
The disease areas being investigated include: • Tumor immunology, and novel immune checkpoint modulation* • Inflammatory bowel disease * • Non-alcoholic steatohepatitis* • Atherosclerosis* • Circadian rhythm * • Arthritis • Viral pandemics * • Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis * • Alzheimer’s disease • Your interest/cause
* Indicates active ongoing programs.
Each project dives from big data to the level of molecular mechanisms through animal models of disease. Ideal candidates should have a strong background in biology.
The presence of computational, systems, cell and molecular biology knowhow will allow incoming candidates to immediately integrate with the programs based on personal interests. Those with computational expertise will be able to seek mentorship from Dr. Debashis Sahoo, Director of the Center for Precision Computational Systems Network (PreCSN). An ideal buffet for those who are hungry and wish to be trained for the decade of science ahead of us.
