Theoretical physics of biological systems
2 post-doc positions in the group of Karsten Kruse at the University of Geneva
The group of Karsten Kruse at the University of Geneva, Switzerland, is hiring two motivated post-docs in the field of theoretical physics of biological systems. The successful candidates will be involved in projects on cellular processes during division and the formation of multicellular structures in vitro. The projects involve collaborations with the experimental groups of Marcos Gonazalez-Gaitan and Aurélien Roux, University of Geneva, and with Carles Blanch-Mercader, Institut Curie, Paris. They will be fully embedded in the growing biological physics community at the University of Geneva.
Applicants should ideally have a background in theoretical statistical, nonlinear, or soft matter physics or a related field; previous experience with biology is helpful but not required.
To apply, please, send a CV (including a list of publications) and contact information for three references to karsten.kruse@unige.ch Informal inquiries may be directed to the same address. Women are especially encouraged to apply.
Applications arriving before March 8 will be considered and beyond until the positions are filled.
