The Funato Lab at University of Georgia is opening its door in August 2021 and recruiting a postdoc in pediatric brain tumor research.
We have been utilizing human pluripotent stem cell system and developing new models of pediatric brain tumors, which can recapitulate the cell type and region-specific effects of oncogenic driver mutations. We will further advance this modeling system to study the intra- and inter-tumor heterogeneity of malignant brain tumor in an effort to develop new therapies and diagnostic tools for this fatal disease.
Candidates must hold a PhD, MD, MD/PhD (or going to receive a degree within 6 months) and have experience in mammalian cell culture. Bioinformatics skills are plus, but not required. Candidates from historically underrepresented groups are highly encouraged to apply.
If you are interested, please send a cover letter describing you research interest, a full CV, and the contact information of three references to: Dr. Kosuke Funato (email@example.com).
