Multiple postdoctoral research associate positions are available in the laboratory of CJ Tsai at the University of Georgia. Research topics include (1) winter transcriptome regulation of woody stems, (2) metabolic engineering of triterpenes in non-glandular trichomes, (3) vegetative-to-reproductive transition regulation. The incumbents will employ RNA-Seq, metabolite profiling, CRISPR editing, histology, and/or gene network modeling in research. Applicants should have a PhD in plant biology, genetics, biochemistry, or related fields, with hands-on experience in molecular genetics, genomics, developmental biology, metabolic engineering, and/or genome editing. Excellent communication skills and ability to coordinate among project team members and external collaborators are necessary.
