Positions are available immediately in the lab of Dr. Craig T. Morita to study cancer immunotherapy with human gamma delta (γδ) T cells. Our team works to optimize adoptive immunotherapy with γδ T cell expressing Vγ2Vδ2 T cell receptors by combining with checkpoint blockade, new bisphosphonates, and live vaccine bacteria. We seek to understand the role of these cells in human immunity to cancer and microbes. We are developing bacterial vaccines and discovering new microbial metabolic pathways.
We are looking for highly motivated candidates with a strong working knowledge of immunology, molecular biology, and cell biology laboratory techniques. The successful candidate should have a PhD or MD. Candidates should have experience performing flow cytometry, cell culture, cellular immunology assays, and ELISAs. Experience with mice and immunodeficient mouse models of tumor immunity is strongly preferred. Molecular biology and microbiology experience are also a plus.
