Open one Postdoctoral and Tech Positions
One postdoctoral fellow and one Technician positions are available in the laboratory of Dr. Ling Qi at the Department of Molecular and Integrative Physiology at the University of Michigan Medical School (Ann Arbor, MI, USA) to work on NIH-funded projects. The main focus of the Qi lab is to delineate the physiological significance and underlying molecular mechanism of endoplasmic reticulum (ER)-associated protein degradation (ERAD) machinery in health and disease, with special focus on metabolic regulation, neurodegeneration and its crosstalk with other quality control mechanisms. The lab uses interdisciplinary state-of-the-art approaches, powered by inducible and cell type-specific animal models, to address the most significant question in the ERAD field. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a highly collaborative environment to understand the role of ERAD in health and disease.
