Postdoctoral positions for experimental, computational, or hybrid biologists are available in the lab of Dr. Laura Su at the University of Pennsylvania. The Su lab uses multidisciplinary approaches to interrogate human T cell responses in the context of vaccination, infection, and autoimmunity. We are interested in how past exposures impact the baseline T cell composition, how T cells interact with one another, and key drivers that regulate T cell plasticity, differentiation, and competitiveness. A current focus of the Su lab is to define the mechanism for maintaining durable T cell immunity against actively mutating viruses in the context of COVID vaccines. This work will be funded by a new R01 and builds on our recent work published in Immunity. Other opportunities to study autoimmune-related T cell dysfunction in rheumatoid arthritis and type I diabetes are also available.
The successful candidate will join a vibrant research community at the University of Pennsylvania. We are supported by multiple NIH R01 grants, VA Merit Awards, and the Innovative Research Award from the Rheumatology Research Foundation. PhD in immunology, bioinformatics, computational biology, or related fields is required. Additional requirements:
· Experimental candidates – track records in immunology.
· Computational candidates – expertise with the Unix environment and programing in Python and R. Trainees with track-records in single cell analyses are encouraged to apply.
Interested applicants should submit a CV to Dr. Laura Su at email@example.com
