A postdoctoral research fellow position is available in the Bajaj Lab (https://www.urmc.rochester.edu/labs/bajaj.aspx) at the Wilmot Cancer Institute of the University of Rochester Medical Center, to study molecular mechanisms of leukemia stem cell interactions with their microenvironment. We are passionate about understanding the cancer microenvironment and its role in disease progression. We study this in genetic mouse models and primary patient samples using tools such as CRISPR and in vivo imaging.
Wilmot Cancer Institute is a leading cancer care center in the Upstate New York area, specializing in hematological, GI and breast cancers. This is a great opportunity to work in close collaboration with a fantastic group of clinicians and scientists. We are looking for enthusiastic individuals with a recent Ph.D. in Cell Biology, Genetics or related fields, and a strong interest in translational cancer research. Prior experience with mouse work is greatly preferred.
