The Friedman Lab at UT Southwestern Medical Center (https://www.utsouthwestern.edu/labs/friedman-jonathan) seeks to recruit a postdoctoral fellow or research associate to study the fundamental mechanisms by which mitochondria are functionally and spatially organized. We have just received new NIH funding and we have several different exciting projects available in multiple model systems (from yeast to metazoans). We are seeking self-motivated, team-oriented, and passionate researchers who enjoy curiosity-driven research and are looking to join a supportive and diverse lab environment.
We are particularly excited by candidates who have experience in one or more of the following areas: protein biochemistry, yeast genetics, tissue culture and mammalian cell CRISPR engineering, and/or advanced microscopy techniques.
