A postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Chen Liu in the Departments of Internal Medicine and Neuroscience of UT Southwestern Medical Center.
The Liu Lab (http://www.utsouthwestern.edu/labs/liu-chen/) studies brain serotonin circuits that regulate energy and glucose homeostasis. Additionally, we use a combination of mouse genetic, next-generation sequencing, and gene-editing tools to probe fundamental principles underlying the development of neuroendocrine circuits in the brain.
We are looking for enthusiastic and inquisitive candidates with a background and interest in developmental, molecular, and cellular neuroscience. Experience with molecular biology, histology, mouse genetics, and/or behavior is preferred. UT Southwestern is a premier research facility with state of the art core facilities and extensive career development opportunities for Postdoctoral Fellows.
Candidates must have a Ph.D. and/or M.D. in a relevant field and should have published as least one paper in a peer-reviewed journal.
