A postdoctoral fellowship position is available in New York City at Weill Cornell Medical College in the laboratory of Rohit Chandwani, M.D., Ph.D., to examine the epigenetic mechanisms of cancer.
The focus of the Chandwani Lab is to understand the contribution that chromatin dysregulation has in tumor initiation and progression, with a specific focus on pancreatic and liver malignancies. The lab has refined the use of low-input epigenomics to the study of lineage-traced ex vivo epithelial cells. Model systems in the laboratory include tumor cell lines, mouse and patient-derived human organoids, and lineage-traced genetically engineered mice. In addition, the lab actively employs a variety of genome scale technologies including RNA-seq, ATAC-seq, and ChIP-seq. The lab has active research projects underway studying lineage specification and cell fate in the exocrine pancreas, master transcription factor coordination of tumor initiation, chromatin regulators in the development of pancreatic cancer, and epigenetic memory of inflammation. More information about the laboratory is available at www.chandwanilab.org.
The ideal candidate must have a Ph.D. and be highly motivated with excellent communication skills. A strong background in molecular biology and/or cancer biology and publications in peer-reviewed journals are required. Experience in epigenetics and with genetically engineered mice is desirable, but not necessary.
If interested, please send a cover letter and curriculum vitae to Rohit Chandwani, M.D., Ph.D. at email@example.com
