Position Description
The Microbial Sciences Institute at Yale University (http://microbialsciences.yale.edu), in partnership with the departments of Microbial Pathogenesis, Immunobiology, Cellular and Molecular Physiology, and Genetics at Yale School of Medicine, seeks applicants for an assistant professor tenure track faculty position at the intersection of microbiology, health, and disease.
The Microbial Sciences Institute (MSI) is a central hub where research teams from multiple departments contribute broad perspectives, approaches, and expertise. Current research areas include chemistry and genetics of host-microbe interaction, microbial community assembly and evolution, and structural biology of microbes. The MSI values deep exploration of the microbial world, prizes mentorship and interaction, and aims to push the boundaries of microbiology.

Qualifications
Candidates must hold a Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent degree. Applications will be evaluated for alignment with both the MSI and one or more of the partnering departments. The position includes a full (primary) appointment in one of these departments, which provide exceptional colleagues, resources, and mentorship.
