The Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care & Sleep Medicine in the Department of Medicine at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA is seeking applicants for full-time faculty positions at the rank of Assistant Adjunct Professor. The candidate is expected to conduct research related to lung biology and disease, with a focus on lung injury. We are particularly interested in candidates with expertise in immunology including preclinical models, ex vivo models, imaging, and cell/molecular biology with the goal of developing novel therapeutics for targeting locally active proteins in the lung. The candidate will be expected to publish in peer-reviewed journals, facilitate the development and sustenance of a program through continued extramural funding, and participate in the training of students and post-doctoral fellows.
A Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent is required. Additional qualifications: The candidate must have experience in independently developing and executing preclinical and ex vivo models of lung disease, as documented by prior publications and/or grant funding.
