The School of Public Health invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Epidemiology. We are seeking an exceptional scholar whose work strengthens epidemiologic research and contributes to evidence-based public health science, policy, and practice.
The successful candidate will have a record of accomplishment, normally including postdoctoral training, publication of primary research articles in relevant peer-reviewed journals, success in gaining competitive external grants, experience in classroom teaching, and the ability to mentor research trainees effectively. Teaching responsibilities will include undergraduate and/or graduate-level epidemiology and methods courses, and other public health courses, with opportunities to contribute to the proposed Bachelor of Health Science program.
More specifically, the successful candidate is expected to establish a nationally competitive research program and will pursue tri-agency funding (CIHR, NSERC, SSHRC, PHAC) within the first year of appointment.
