Description of the workplace: Diagnostic Radiology, ITM, Lund University conducts research related to medical imaging diagnostics. LUCI (Lund University Breast Cancer Imaging) is a cross-disciplinary group – lead by Professor Sophia Zackrisson – with a main research interest in innovative imaging modalities and methods in breast cancer diagnostics, focusing on screening and the role of Artificial Intelligence. LUCI is well-established, with an extensive group of affiliated PhD-students, postdocs, and more senior researchers from diverse disciplines, with a close collaboration between primarily medical radiation physics and diagnostic radiology. LUCI has many national and international collaborators. The group is located at Skåne University Hospital in Malmö. Work duties and areas of responsibility: The goal of this project is to develop image-based breast cancer risk prediction models to support individualized screening. Data will be drawn from the Malmö-Breast ImaginG database and linked with additional transcriptomic and clinical datasets. Data processing and statistical analyses will be conducted in collaboration with members of the research group and statisticians. The role also includes participation in the group's daily administrative activities, collection and validation of patient data, and supervision of master's and bachelor's students.
