Clinical Fellow

The NIHR-funded A-Island project involves the co-design and feasibility randomised controlled trial of wellbeing groups for autistic 11-16 year-olds. The postholder will have research responsibilities on this project. They will also be expected to present a suitable topic for a PhD proposal in the area of mental health and wellbeing in autistic adolescents, supervised by Dr Kate Cooper and Professor Liz Pellicano. The UCL Doctorate in Clinical Psychology is the largest training course for clinical psychologists in the country. Psychology at UCL is the top-ranked in Europe and 4th in the world in the 2023 Shanghai Ranking of World Universities.

About the Role

The key purpose of the post is to provide the successful applicant with the opportunity to develop a clinical academic career by:

• undertaking trial management responsibilities on the A-Island feasibility RCT
• undertaking a PhD linked to the A-Island study
• engaging in clinical work focused on supporting autistic students
• contributing to the DClinPsy programme in the Department

We will consider applications to work on a part-time, flexible and job share basis wherever possible. This role is eligible for hybrid working.
