Applications are invited to apply for this exciting opportunity to work within the Myeloid Haematology team within the Haematology Department at the Churchill Hospital, looking after patients with a variety of myeloid neoplasms alongside the late phase haematology trials unit. The post will suit a highly motivated clinician working in the field of haematology who is planning a future career as a haematologist, with an interest in myeloid disorders and clinical trials.
There will be an opportunity to develop research projects in clinical trials and laboratory based translational science in the Haematopoietec Stem Cell Biology laboratory at the MRC Weatherall Institute of Molecular Medicine. Training will focus on the design, setting up and execution of clinical research, but there will also be opportunities to develop research initiatives that support independent fellowship applications, if appropriate.
You will hold a MB ChB or equivalent, MRCP or equivalent. Direct experience of managing haematology patients with myeloid neoplasms at ST4-8 level (or equivalent) will be essential. The ability to exercise an immediate level of clinical responsibility as delegated by the consultant-in-charge and to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team also will be essential. GMC registration; you must be currently qualified and licensed to practice medicine in the UK.
The post is available full-time for 2 years, funded by Oxford Hospitals Charity. Applications for part-time working will be considered.
