Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory is seeking a highly motivated Research Associate to join our dynamic and collaborative team. This position will be part of Dr. Peter Koo’s Lab in the Department of Quantitative Biology and Dr. Kenneth Chang’s Lab at the Functional Genomics Facility. The successful candidate will play a key role in conducting large-scale perturbation assays, including massively parallel reporter assays (MPRAs) and CRISPR interference (CRISPRi), to investigate the regulatory genomic elements (enhancers and promoters) that control gene expression across various cell types.
Education: PhD degree Molecular Biology, Genetics, Bioinformatics, or a related field is required.
Skills/Experience: Strong background in functional genomics, molecular biology techniques, and quantitative biology. Experience with CRISPR technology and high-throughput screening methods. Proficiency in data analysis and familiarity with computational tools and programming languages (e.g., Python, R). Excellent problem-solving skills and a passion for scientific research. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this role is $65,000-$80,000.00 The salary range and/or hourly rate listed is a good faith determination of potential base compensation that may be offered to a successful applicant for this position at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future. When determining a base salary and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., years of relevant experience, education, credentials, and internal equity).
