Course Director For The Master Of Counselling

As the Course Director for the Master of Counselling, you will spearhead the development and implementation of a pioneering online programme, working closely with Melbourne Online and the Department of Social Work. You'll have the opportunity to lead a team of educators, influence curriculum design, and ensure the highest quality standards in counselling education. This role offers a unique chance to engage with stakeholders and contribute to strategic community partnerships, all while advancing your career in a supportive academic environment.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Provide strategic leadership: Design, develop, and continuously improve the curriculum for the online Master of Counselling degree.
• Coordinate and lead educational teams: Oversee Subject Coordinators and Online Educators in the programme's delivery as well as directly coordinate and teach into subjects.
• Manage accreditation processes: Lead the preparation and submission of documentation for University and external accreditation approvals.
• Enhance student experience: Maintain high-quality online learning through regular reviews and support placement models.

You may be a great fit if:

• You are a highly motivated educational leader with a Doctorate in counselling or equivalent with ACA membership eligibility, experienced in developing innovative online graduate programmes and adept at engaging stakeholders across various domains.

You may also:

• Have a proven track record in course and subject development, particularly in online modes.
• Demonstrate experience in leading and supporting educational teams.
• Exhibit strong interpersonal skills with strategic judgement and empathetic leadership.
• Be committed to equity, diversity, inclusion, and reconciliation initiatives.
