The Cancer Research UK City of London Centre was established in 2018 as a partnership between University College London, King's College London, Queen Mary University of London, and The Francis Crick Institute. The Centre's mission is to foster collaboration between cancer researchers at these four institutions, in order to transform cancer outcomes through effective biological therapies.
The Centre aims to develop and implement effective biological cancer therapies based on deep understanding of tumour origins, evolution, and response to intervention, increasing treatment options and transforming outcomes in adult and paediatric cancers. The Centre supports PhD students, post doctoral researchers, technical staff and 400 group leaders. By uniting multidisciplinary academic and clinical expertise across the partnership, the Centre aims not only to significantly impact the development of biotherapeutics for the treatment of cancer, but also to revolutionise the way cancer research is conducted in London. Further information about the Centre can be found on our website https://www.colcc.ac.uk
