We are currently looking for a new Data Scientist to support the development of novel market forecasting models in our Market Modelling & Planning function. In this role, you will use your excellent data analytics and modelling skills to transform conceptual market analysis frameworks and internal & external datasets into business-relevant models for a wide-range of internal stakeholders (Strategy, Sales, Marketing, Business Planning…).

Key Accountabilities Market Modelling & Stakeholder Engagement

• Support the development of novel market forecasting models in our Market Modelling & Planning function.
• Use excellent data analytics and modelling skills to transform conceptual market analysis frameworks and internal & external datasets into business-relevant models for a wide-range of internal stakeholders.
• Regularly interact with the division's leadership team, fellow data scientists, and Business Units managers.
• Identify, prioritize, and develop new modelling applications.
• Ensure alignment between modelling output and business needs.
• Deepen the data analytics culture in the company.

Technical Excellence & Model Maintenance

• Ensure the robustness and modularity of the model code.
• Set up sound maintenance processes.
• Develop relevant user interfaces (dashboards, apps…).
• Ensure adherence to good coding practices in model development.

Critical Requirements

• Passion & Proactivity: Passion for problem solving and data analytics. Curious and proactive when dealing with data.
• Execution & Mindset: Ready to embrace complexity and deal with uncertainty. Eager to learn and grow.
• Coding Practices: Demonstrated good coding practices.

Desired Skills & Experience

• Strong quantitative education (ex. mathematics, computer science, physics, bioinformatics…).
• 3+ years of practical experience dealing with data analytics, statistics and modelling.
• Demonstrated experience as a Python developer and Git user.
• Fluency in English (additional languages are a plus).
• Experience with Azure is a strong plus.
• Experience in data visualization tools (ex. PowerBI) is a plus.
• Experience in the pharmaceutical industry is a plus.
