Division Chief, Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging

The Johns Hopkins Department of Radiology and Radiological Science is seeking an experienced physician-scientist to lead our Division of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging. The Division combines the highest standards of clinical imaging with cutting-edge research, while educating and guiding the next generation of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging professionals. State-of-the-art equipment and a broad base of experience support clinical and research programs involving PET/CT, SPECT/CT and theranostics.

The Division Chief will lead a large multi-disciplinary team and would be expected to have achieved distinction in clinical imaging, research and teaching. The Division Chief has responsibility for all aspects of the clinical program and will be a board-certified physician (ABR or ABNM), reporting directly to the Chair of Radiology.

Johns Hopkins is nationally and internationally recognized for its leadership in theranostics and molecular imaging and is formally designated as an SNMMI Comprehensive Radiopharmaceutical Therapy Center of Excellence.

Research infrastructure within the division is well-developed with extensive radiochemistry facilities, dedicated research PET/CT instrumentation, lab space, image analysis facilities, and associated expertise. The Division partners with NIH, industry and other academic collaborators worldwide to pursue research over a range of applications including the creation of novel radiopharmaceuticals that foster the development of new medical imaging techniques and disease treatments.

The Division also trains future nuclear medicine leaders through the Nuclear Medicine Residency Program and the Molecular Imaging (DR/NM) Residency Program. The Division also offers a one-year fellowship program for specialized training in both clinical and research aspects of PET/CT.

Qualifications:

A minimum of 10 years relevant professional experience required.

Salary Range:

The referenced salary range represents the minimum and maximum salaries for this position and is based on Johns Hopkins University's good faith belief at the time of posting. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. The actual compensation offered to the selected candidate may vary and will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate's geographic location, skills, work experience, internal equity, market conditions, education/training and other factors, as reasonably determined by the University.
