The Department of Decision and Control Systems conducts fundamental research on networked control systems and cyber-physical systems (CPS) in collaboration with industry and academic partners in the network (e.g., ABB, TU/e, Saarland Univ.).
The doctoral position at KTH will focus on optimizing security and performance in different control architectures. We will pursue control-oriented system/attacker modeling, multi-layer detection of cyberattacks, and game-theoretic approaches to performance-security trade-offs. The successful candidate should have a strong background and interest in control theory and mathematics.
Supervision: Henrik Sandberg, György Dán, and Karl Henrik Johansson are proposed to supervise the doctoral student. Decisions are made on admission.

Only those admitted to postgraduate education may be employed as a doctoral student. The total length of employment may not be longer than what corresponds to full-time doctoral education in four years' time. An employed doctoral student can, to a limited extent (maximum 20%), perform certain tasks within their role, e.g. training and administration. A new position as a doctoral student is for a maximum of one year, and then the employment may be renewed for a maximum of two years at a time.

Allowances – In addition to the starting basic salary mentioned in above link, all positions within Marie Curie contains a mobility allowance and possible family allowance, for more information read here. Basic salary and supplementary allowances are specified pre tax.
