Engineer/Scientist I, QC

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct functional testing of intermediate and finished goods kits according to approved SOPs
• Performs testing using chemistry clinical analyzers and other lab instrumentation
• Document accurate test results using Excel spreadsheets and workbooks
• Maintain lot histories and evaluate test data for trends and discrepancies
• Independently revise and update SOPs and/or worksheets
• Assist in maintaining and organizing the QC Laboratory space.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

• Minimum BA/BS in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Bioscience or equivalent required with 0 – 2 years of Quality Assurance/Quality Control experience, preferably in the medical diagnostics industry
• Strong laboratory skills, including pipetting, safety, and hazardous chemical handling
• Understanding of cGMP and its application in the work environment
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately
• Clear and concise documentation skills
• Proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet software
• Strong multitasking abilities and ability to work independently

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $58,100.00–$77,400.00. This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
