Postdoc and PhD opportunities in Biodiversity Conservation Full-time
Position Overview
We are recruiting 1-2 postdoctoral research fellows in Biodiversity Conservation/Ecological Restoration. Research topics include, but are not limited to:
- Impacts of human activities on biodiversity and ecosystem services.
- Effectiveness of biodiversity conservation and ecological restoration strategies.
- Human-wildlife interactions, including human-wildlife conflicts and the contributions of wildlife to human well-being.
Successful applicants can be funded by the Fudan University Postdoctoral Fellowship (3 years, ~USD 70,000/year) or the Shanghai Postdoctoral Fellowship (2 years, ~USD 52,000/year).
About you
- A PhD (completed or near completion) in Conservation Science, Geography, Remote Sensing, or a related discipline.
- Typically under 35 years of age.
- Demonstrated research capability through publications in high-quality journals.
- Proficiency in relevant programming languages or tools (e.g. Python, R, JavaScript, GIS, Google Earth Engine).
- Experience in large ecological data analysis and/or Google Earth Engine is highly desirable.
