Our lab at the Hadassah–Hebrew University Medical Center investigates how immune cells within the bone marrow microenvironment influence hematopoiesis and how these interactions can be harnessed for therapeutic purposes.
We combine basic immunology, translational research, and clinical insight to study immune regulation in bone marrow transplantation, autoimmunity, and cancer immunotherapy.

Research Focus: 

We focus on two major immune cell types:

• Regulatory T cells (Tregs): Investigating their role in maintaining immune tolerance and preventing graft-versus-host disease (GVHD), and developing strategies to enhance their stability and therapeutic efficacy.
• Natural killer (NK) cells: Exploring their biology and therapeutic potential in cancer and infection. Unlike T cells, NK cells can eliminate malignant or infected cells without causing cytokine release syndrome or GVHD, making them ideal candidates for “off-the-shelf” immunotherapies.

Available Positions:

We are recruiting both PhD students and postdoctoral researchers. All trainees will be enrolled in the Faculty of Medicine at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

Candidate Profile:

We welcome highly motivated and curious researchers with:

• A background in biology (immunology an advantage)
• Experience with cell culture, flow cytometry, or animal models (advantageous but not required)
• Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills
• A demonstrated commitment to teamwork and scientific excellence
